Finnøy Gear & Propeller has reached another milestone for its Finnøy range by selling installation number 1500 and 1501. The anniversary contract will go to Tehnomont Shipyard in Croatia, who has ordered a total of two complete propulsion systems.

The leading manufacturer and design company delivered its very first reduction gearboxes all the way back in 1975, after producing engines in combination with CPP for almost a century. Since then they have cooperated with shipyards, shipowners and naval architects in more than two dozens of different countries- many of them proving to be returning customers. Most of the reference vessel fleet is within the fishing and aquaculture segment.

The newly signed anniversary contract with Tehnomont Shipyard includes a delivery of 2 X P70.22.300.4D and gear type G50FKV along with the fifth generation control system for 24.90 meter long trawlers. The twin rig vessels will be designed by Macduff Ship Design Ltd.

General Manager, Nils Erling Finnøy, said: “The sale number 1500 underlines the longstanding trust and satisfaction of our customers base across land and sea boarders. Our portfolio of products is specially developed to minimize costs and maximize performance. We will continue with a strong R&D focus with the aim to ensure sustainable and hybrid/ electric based platforms in our modernized range.”
